2015 Our Year in Review
What a year 2015 was for Hunter communications, our most successful to date, thanks to our wonderful clients, suppliers and supporters. We kicked off 2015 in winning style at the UFC Boston event, which saw Conor McGregor progress and get the chance to fight Jose Aldo for the Featherweight world championship, and we now know how that went. Even if it was just 13 seconds!!! Spring brought the sun and it seemed the country went crisp crazy for Tayto and The Tayto Pop Shop on Wicklow Street. The dapper man in the hat dished up his Tayto Crisp Sandwiches in 4 different Tayto-tastic flavours and the public couldn’t get enough! https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=nYRfhp627Ig In March we hosted an intimate themed dinner to showcase the stunning PARFOIS SS15 collection. Guests were treated to customised PARFOIS cocktails as well as a delectable menu, which provided the perfect setting to showcase their Bohemian dream themed collection. Following on from the success of last year’s inaugural Talk Series, Alex and Ani hosted their second Talk series, in the sun filled Blue Room of the Dean Hotel. Guest speakers at the breakfast event, included Sinead Burke, Louise McSharry and was hosted by Caroline Casey. https://vimeo.com/130732276 Summer time proved to be our busiest yet with some fun to be had along the way! Pom Bear brought their Picnic Zone and lots of family activities to Bloom, Cork Mid Summer festival and Laya City spectacular Dublin festival! https://vimeo.com/129771323 Fans of ALEX AND ANI joined the brand to celebrate Independence Day a little early on Thursday July 2nd, in Arnotts, with prizes galore and flights to be won. Also in July we celebrated Bastille Day with a complimentary French pastry, a coffee and a chanson, courtesy of Cuisine de France! https://vimeo.com/133544028 We also rolled out the red carpet for King Crisps who introduced the Kings Inn to Body & Soul, Laya Healthcare Dublin & Cork and Castlepalooza! This year was the 10th edition of Castlepalooza so we always knew it was going to be a bit special! Bring on CP 16 !! https://vimeo.com/135848042 Hula Hoops created a lot of colour and noise through out the summer months with "Fun Never Grows Up" campaign. Our Hula Hoop girls and Hoopla Stall travelled all over the country to share the fun, as well as showing shoppers and festival goers exactly how it’s done! https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=XHKaeh4mjcM The Chocolate Factory on Dublin’s King’s Inn Street was the location for PARFOIS AW15 Press Event. On the evening, the shabby chic warehouse was completely transformed into a glamorous backstage area. https://vimeo.com/135548391 Autumn/Winter saw our first ever Alex and Ani Music series. A very special night, which featured the unique vocal talent of Gavin James performing a once off intimate gig for fans of the brand. https://vimeo.com/143974193 Des Bishop returned from the Far East with a new stand up show and “Made in China” DVD which he wanted to share with the world and people walking along Grafton Street. Another great Irish comic and actress, Deirdre O’Kane joined the influential 2FM DJ Louise McSharry and celebrated former Rose of Tralee Maria O’Walsh were speakers at the third Alex and Ani Talk Series which took place in Fallon and Byrne. Christmas came upon us too soon but to celebrate the launch of their season sharing bags we called upon the talents of O’Donnell family member and foodie Roz Purcell to make this Christmas even tastier! She created four healthy delicious dips to accompany the O’Donnells family favourites. Check out her Savage Salsa recipe below. https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=ZK685F8TXbI Launching just in time for festive season, Sugar Daddy was created to offer trend-seeking Irish male consumers a high-quality barber. The Sugar Culture team felt that Dublin was lacking a space exclusive to men allowing them to feel like they belong. And finally, for 12 days we opened the Cuisine de France “Boulangarie de Noel” on Georges Street, Dublin 2. Shoppers enjoyed the ambience of an authentic French Boulangerie and enjoyed the aroma and taste of freshly baked Cuisine de France festive treats in store.
