Things to do in Dublin; Hunter's Weekend Picks!

Music: Neneh Cherry  If you haven't already dipped your toes into MusicTown you've got until the 17th of April, to dive on in! If it's any consolation, we think the Dublin City Council backed Music festival have saved the best 'til last.  This Saturday,  one of our childhood heroes - the incomparable Neneh Cherry will join Jim Carroll for "Banter" in the National Gallery of Ireland  to talk about her life and work.  Later, Neneh will be on the decks at Wigwam for Bodytonic.  More info here:  http://www.musictown.ie We were lucky to catch Neneh  live in Twisted Pepper a couple of years ago - on her 50th birthday -where she performed her excellent "Blank Project" album along with RocketNumberNine and she was all kinds of amazing. Here she is though in all her (7 months pregnant) glory on Top of The Pops back in '88. https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=ToNvjTrNlL8 Family: Experience Japan in the Phoenix Park  Farmleigh House and Estate will be turning Japanese on Sunday 17 April for this FREE, family-friendly festival day Screen Shot 2016-04-15 at 12.27.00 They'll celebrate Japanese and Japanese-Irish culture with music & dance performances, anime, calligraphy, origami, martial arts demonstrations and much more.
