Things to do in Dublin; Hunter's Weekend Picks

Tis chilly out there, perfect weekend for checking out an indoor market or Fassbender's latest flick or perhaps recapturing your youth by trying to recreate the moves in the new Missy video. Take your pick, we'll be trying at least one of the above. Event: Dublin Rave Market Screen Shot 2015-11-13 at 10.08.01 It may be better known for it's high -energy student nights, but this weekend The Palace Venue on Camden Street will open it's doors during the day to  host The Dublin Rave Market.  Inspired by the eccentric Madrid summertime rave markets,  this will be a high-energy retail experience for one day only. According to their Facebook page, some of Dublin's best DJ talent will supply the tunes, whilst you browse a unique range of retail stalls not commonly seen on the high-street, including: - Bikesorbicycles.com - CroaK Jewellery - WildBird Studio - Dble Drop Clothing - Against the Grain Woodcraft - RadikalVip - Hitoe Candles - Celtic Fusion Design - Ministry Skateboards - Crytic Clique - Aromamist - HoverBoard.ie There's also a 1 euro cover charge at the door.   Movie: Steve Jobs https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=aEr6K1bwIVs In this latest film biopic about the Apple visionary/genius,  director Danny Boyle and lead actor Michael Fassbender tell the tale of three personal crises in Job's life.  Aaron Sorkin’s exhilarating, word heavy script is full of quips and one liners all delivered at break-neck speed but it's also very dialogue heavy which means, it asks a lot of it's audience. Kate Winslet co-stars as Job's long suffering colleague, complete with nerd make-over/under?  and although it's been a box office flop in the US, it's been tipped for Oscar glory. And for those resaons, it's totally up to you if you want spend two hours and 10 quid watching it but  at least you've been warned.   Gig: Julio Bashmore Producer Matt Walker aka Julio Bashmore got his start in Bristol's dubstep scene, but he claims that his first exposure to dance music came through his older brother's vintage house records, and house seems to be his true calling. His breakout 2011 single "Battle for Middle You" is still one of our faves and his debut album "Knockin Boots" was soundtrack to summer 2015. https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=aLqWjUWGYFA Tickets will be available on the door.
