Busy launch for Busybees

We attended the launch of Busybees furniture yesterday a not-for-profit community business which is a new recycling concept that Re-uses an item of furniture collected from the greater Dublin area which is otherwise destined for landfills, to create Bespoke Recycled & Upcycled furniture.

The items which Busybees create are one-off designs developed by their creative team and chosen by the client who can add their own personal specifications.

We had the opportunity to see some of beautiful pieces the Busybees team created and we we're blown away! the professionalism of these pieces were nothing short of spectacular.

Upon meeting the team behind Busybees you can really get a feel for their passion for what they do and the sense of community which is behind this operation.

The core principles Busybees states are "to reduce waste and landfill while creating employment  & training opportunities for local communities in Dublin"

Not only are they creating opportunities for the unemployed, but they are providing an invaluable service to the public by creating custom, eclectic, environmentally friendly period pieces for affordable prices.

The Busybees store was officially opened by RTE's 'Off The Rails' presenter - Brendan Courtney, at 'Recycled Furniture, 193-195 Rathmines Road, Rathmines, Dublin 6'.

We have put together a gallery of the launch of Busybees but you can view more of their amazing work by clicking here
