What's Happening this Weekend

Theatre – Room - 24th June – July 22nd The Abbey Theatre presents Room, a new stage adaptation of Emma Donoghue’s international bestselling novel of the same name. Unlike the award-winning movie, the stage adaptation features ‘Big Jack’ who voices the thoughts of his younger self so as to spare the young actor the harshness of the story. A strangely moving play about the power of the imagination and a testament to human resourcefulness. (Photo Credit: Abbey Theatre) Cinema – Despicable me 3 - 30th June Schools out but the sun isn’t? Heading to the cinema seems like an easy option, made all the better by the release of the third and probably funniest instalment from the Despicable Me franchise. Seriously funny by all accounts, with enough adult humour to keep us all happy. Gig – MK - 1st July MK (Marc Kinchen) is an American DJ, record producer, and remixer. The gig hit a major bump in the road after all tickets were sold when the venue was pulled, worries were put aside once the new venue at The Navan Racecourse was announced. So if you can manage to nab yourself a ticket (they’re like gold dust), you’re in for one hell of a party.
