Hunter's Weekend Picks

It's Friday so here's our recommendations for things to see and do this weekend, or not.Totally up to youMovie: The Wolf Pack Screen Shot 2015-08-21 at 11.49.08

Despite the name, this (thankfully) isn't another take on "The Hangover" franchise but an award winning documentary that has to be seen to be believed.   The Angulo brothers spent most of their lives locked in their parents' run-down apartment on New York's Lower East Side. Home-schooled by their mother and hidden away by their controlling father, their only glimpse into the world was mostly provided by videos and DVDs of Hollywood films.  A fascinating watch by all accounts, here's the trailer: https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=rDbqcMfUdlI

Event: Another Love Story If you thought this weekend was a festival free one, then you thought wrong! Organisers say it's more of a gathering of like minded people but whatever label you give it, Homebeat and Happenings Bespoke music & arts event " Another Love Story" is returning to Killyon Manor, Kinnegad, Co. Westmeath this weekend. Screen Shot 2015-08-21 at 11.54.41 New Jackson and Loah are on the bill and so is one of our favourite DJ's Sally Cinnamon. For more info click on website below:http://www.anotherlovestory.ie/   Music: Get Down Edits Screen Shot 2015-08-21 at 11.52.46These lads can do no wrong in our eyes. They stole the show at Body & Soul earlier this year, putting in an epic DJ set working the crowd into a rapturous, sing-song of Talking Head's "Psycho Killer". Waterford's finest "Get Down Edits" are at Meeting House Dark for a night of deep disco cuts on Saturday night. What's more, admission is free! However, capacity is limited so get in early to guarantee a spot on the dance floor. For more, visit www.themeetinghousedublin.com and www.facebook.com/events/505829219574089/
