More info here: http://www.dublinchinesenewyear.com/   Movie: Trumbo  https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=jLuxQhdUqLY Bryan Cranston puts in a stellar performance in the title role of Dalton Trumbo, the story of how an academy-award winning screenwriter was forced to hide behind made up identities after being blacklisted as a communist threat during the McCarthy "Witch hunts" of the 1940's.  It's opened to ok reviews with most saying it's Cranston who saves it from mediocrity. Here's Hollywood legend Kirk Douglas -who features in the movie (and who played the title role of  Spartacus - which was arguably Trumbo's finest piece of work) recently spoke about the man he worked with and admired. http://www.telegraph.co.uk/film/trumbo/kirk-douglas-praises-bryan-cranston-mccarthysim/   Music: Foals in 3 Arena   Ok we know this isn't happening this weekend but there's not much else on unless you want to see Joe Jackson in the Olympia to hear this beauty alone.... https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=fY2YPXI__tg but we also can't blame you if you want to get more bang for your buck! So probably makes more sense to get yourself a ticket for Foals who play the 3 Arena this Wednesday- Everything Everything are the (class) support act. https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=qJ_PMvjmC6M Tickets priced from €31.40 including booking fee  from Ticketmaster outlets and www.ticketmaster.ie Another must visit destination this weekend is the brand spanking new Brown Sugar Salon which has just opened it's doors in Ranelagh.
