Bad weather didn't deter the spirits of the Milk It For All It's Worth winners..

Building on the success from last year, The National Dairy Council teamed up with three Irish sports heroes for the ‘Bring on the Pros’ competition. It offered entrants a once-in-a-lifetime chance to win a training session with Leinster fullback Rob Kearney, surf legend Easkey Britton or Dublin footballer Bryan Cullen for their school or club. This year, the competition winners, Kanturk RFC, Co. Cork and the girls GAA team from Scoil Mhuire gan Smal in Killeen won the big day out. This involved a fun, intensive and informative training session with each of their sporting heroes, Rob Kearney and Bryan Cullen followed by a Q & A. Both training sessions took place today, in Old Belvedere RFC, Donnybrook Dublin 4. The Minister for Agriculture, Food and the Marine, Simon Coveney TD also attended the training day, congratulating the winners and taking part in the Q & A session with the sports stars. Minister Coveney said at the event, ‘I’d like to take this opportunity to wholeheartedly congratulate The National Diary Council on this most worthwhile event which encourages clubs and schools to get involved in sport, while taking guidance from our country’s top sports stars.’ He added, ‘it is marvelous to see the enthusiasm of the children and clubs involved in the “Milk It for All It’s Worth” campaign. This project encourages participation in sports while also educating children on the benefits of a well-balanced approach to their own personal nutrition.’
