A/W wardrobe top tips from the boss lady
We sat down with our boss lady Lynn Hunter to discuss her top tips on how to recession proof your wardrobe. Lynn has previously featured on RTE's Off The Rails and has done many features for Irish Publications. When it comes to fashion Lynn knows her stuff!
Lynn is a firm believer in vintage shopping and wouldn't count herself as a follower of trends. It is Lynn's belief that "vintage pieces never go out of fashion", in fact some of Lynn's favourite pieces are from labels such as A.F. Vandevorst, Martin Margiela and Laundry Room.
"During a recession a girl's best friend is a tailor and a cobbler," according to Lynn. Making the most of a good tailor and cobbler will ensure that you get the best wear from your clothes.
We asked Lynn what is the best way to keep your wardrobe always fashionable, to which she advised "invest your money into timeless pieces". A good blazer, handbag, white shirt, scarf and boots will carry you through any season looking sophisticated and timeless.
Lynn's top tip for avoiding blowing your budget on party dresses, is to "think multifunctional". She advises to invest your hard earned cash into "timeless dresses which all take you from day to night."
Accessories are key to updating any outfit; "Sometimes the simplest of accessories can make all the difference to your favourite outfit," says Lynn.
So there you have it ladies all you need to know on how to stay chic and fashionable on a budget! Remember staying fashionable is not always about having the hottest new thing, it's about knowing how to dress for your body and how to add a touch of individuality to any outfit.
